Scope of Problem
During the COVID-19 pandemic, people around the world have been at home for a prolonged period of time. Whilst home is a safe space for most people, it is a living hell for domestic violence victims. The enforced lockdowns have worsened their living conditions by reducing their ability to contact external help. Furthermore, victims are under the constant surveillance of their abuser and time spent on their phone is heavily regulated.
Hence, SnakeEscape was designed with this problem in mind by discreetly and inconspicuously connecting victims of domestic violence with support services.
